Discover Jimi Hendrix’s connection to Vancouver through his grandmother Nora Hendrix and their family’s life in the Strathcona neighbourhood.

Nora and James Hendrix came to Vancouver in 1911. As a child, Jimi lived with his grandmother Nora in Strathcona and attended the Dawson Annex school. When he performed at the Pacific Coliseum in 1968, he acknowledged Nora in the audience.
